After the two weeks of intensive work, Olive Grove is finally ready for the planting of Olives. As you can see the pictures below, the parcel is completely flat. Also, we removed existing tangerine plantage, but leave walnut, fig trees, and existing olives (after the melioration we found about 30 olives on the parcel, some of them bigger, some smaller). It is very important for the Extra Virgin Olive Oil that Olive Trees are close to the other fruits. This way Olive Oil gets the special smell, which raises its quality. After this step we need to make the holes in the ground.

As the puncture of the road finished, we started the melioration process. It is important to prepair the parcel for planting of olive trees. Also, good land preparation enables extra virgin olive oil to have a better quality later. Here are some pictures of the start of this process:

First thing we had to do was to puncture the assess road to the old olive grove. This is important as the parcel need to meliorated. The road will help to bring large machinery such as trucks, bulldozer, a machine for crushing stone, etc. Take a look:

We bought a new land parcel. It was uncultivated agricultural land, forest-covered. Also, there was some of tangerine, walnut, fig trees.

Its area is about 20000 m2. According to the agronomy rules, we intend to plant 400 olive trees.
